Beijing Xin'Ao Mall at the Olympic Green (Wednesday, August 15th, 2018)

One thing we've learned about the Chinese since we've been here is that they love shopping!  The malls here are beautiful, clean and huge!  This mall is almost entirely underground. It has entrances on both sides of the river that runs through the Olympic Green Park.

Most of the malls have a kids area.  This one had a full sized basketball court.

Rice cooker anyone?

Or maybe an electric toothbrush?

There are also really nice grocery stores in the mall.  I doubt that the average person shops here, but who knows.

And another play place, in the same mall.

We stopped at a very busy little fast food restaurant for lunch.  The entire menu was all in Chinese. Steve snapped a couple of pictures of what other people were eating that looked good.  He showed the pictures to the women taking the orders.  She knew what is was thankfully!

The chopstick dispensing machine.  It sterilizes the chopsticks, and then you just pull them out the front.

We took advantage of our time at the mall to replace Steve's day pack that finally broke during this trip, and to get me a new pair of tennis shoes.  The walking shoes that I brought on this trip aren't working because of the high humidity.  And best of all, we enjoyed a great, healthy fast food lunch.
