Chengdu, China - People's Park and Shopping Village (Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 )

This afternoon we visited the peaceful and serene People's Park, a popular destination for the locals and their leisure activities.

The feel of this park is much different than that of our early morning park, maybe because it is an afternoon visit, or maybe just because it is a different park.

As we entered the park, there was a candy art maker.

This section of the park was called the match making area.  It was for individuals or their families to post "resumes" for a person to find their perfect match.

More candy art.

A restaurant.

This guys is getting his ear wax removed, right in the restaurant.

Beautiful artwork.

Beautiful and relaxing sights.

This is a talented water delivery man that we saw as we were leaving the park.  That's over 700 pounds of water on this scooter!

When we left the park, we made our way to historic village for more browsing and shopping.

Musical instruments.

This is some crazy noodle making!  Look how thin these noodles are.

Food on a stick!

Chili peppers anyone?

Cotton Candy in unique shapes.

 Silver smiths.

A beautiful fish pond added great ambiance to this village.

More artistic candy.  This seems to be a big money maker in China.

After a huge exhilarating morning visiting the pandas, it was nice to have some relaxing events in the afternoon.  We enjoyed the tranquility of the park, and the excitement of the village marketplace.
