The Bund, Shanghai, China (Tuesday, August 28th, 2018)

Shanghai is a very interesting city, in that it has two distinct districts.  The old section, called the Bund, was built during the British reign, and is built in a very "British" architectural style.  The new section is where our hotel is, and is the very modern section of Shanghai.

This morning, we experienced the old world charm of the Bund, as we walked along the park-like waterfront promenade with gorgeous views of old and new Shanghai.

We are on the Bund side of the river, but have views across the river to the ultramodern architecture as well.

Then looking across the river, we could enjoys the views of New Shanghai.

We really enjoyed our time on the Bund.  It is such a pretty area, and other than the crowds, really relaxing.

During our drive in Shanghai, we also got to see a mix of old and new.  There are some really pretty buildings in the city.

We always enjoy our bus time, giving us an opportunity to look around at the country side or the city-scapes.  Today was no exception.
