These porters carried our luggage on board the ship. They were incredibly strong men.
The current on the Yangtze River is incredibly strong! Because we were with Gate-1, we were allowed to board the boat earlier than any of the other passengers.
The dining room.
Meeting our Cruise director Stephen.
Our room, a very nice suite.
The view from our balcony. Of course this will be ever changing, but it is a very nice view.
As Gate-1 customers, we got so many special perks. Another on was the use of the executive lounge. It was on the 4th floor in the front of the boat. Coffee, tea and cookies were available all day, every day in case you needed a little snack. This is inside the lounge.
This is outside the lounge.
Steve and I ended up spending a lot of time in this outdoor area of the executive lounge. It was always nice and quiet with great views of where we were going, and there was always a nice breeze up here.
A beautiful bridge in ChongQing.
A closer look at the bridge. Cars on top, and the monorail underneath.
Looking down the mezzanine on of boat.
Level 5 in the back.
Something you don't really thing about on a river cruise is that when the ships moor, they have to put their nose into the current. So when they are ready to head down river, they have to turn around. That is quite a feat!
ChongQing as the evening lights began to come on.
