Tillamook Creamery, OR (Friday, September 13th, 2019)

We have been without internet for quite some time now, (just because RV parks say they have internet doesn't necessarily mean they do), so we headed to the Tillamook Library to get caught up on life a little bit.

When we left the library we were hungry for some lunch so decided to stop at the Tillamook Creamery for a tour and some lunch.

The creamery is a huge place, with all of their cheese making operations and self guided tours, a cafeteria featuring cheesy goodness, and a gift shop.

Can you find Steve waiting for our lunch?

OK, this may not be a healthy lunch, but I think it was healthy for our mental well-being.  Cheesy fries and home made tomato soup with cheese curds.  So yummy!  We had been sitting in the sun enjoying ourselves and relaxing when they brought out our meals. Our server offered us a refund because our order took too long.  We said it was no problem, but he insisted.  $14.50 back in our pocket.  Crazy!  We didn't think it was a long wait at all!

The gift shop.

When we finished our tour, there was a cheese tasting waiting for us at the end.  Another nice, unexpected surprise.

It was a nice day of getting caught up, learning about cheese making and enjoying some yummy Tillamook cheese.
