Our Lady of Guadalupe Cathedral, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (Friday, October 19th, 2018)

This beautiful cathedral stands in the middle of Old Town PuertaVallarta.  It is an icon of the old city.  Originally this church was just a small chapel, but in 1903 they started converting it into a cathedral.  It has been rebuilt and expanded upon many times throughout its history.

The cathedral is built out of a combination of brick and stone.

The inside is beautiful, but I think it is most well known for it's crown.

On our way home, fishing by the Rio Cuale.

Our walk to the cathedral was a nice little outing.  It is really hot (88 degrees) and humid (95%) today and now it is starting to rain, so we are on our way back to the hotel for a little inside time.
