Fusion Gourmet, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (Saturday, October 20th, 2018)

After a big day of climbing, we really wanted a nice, quiet, relaxing dinner that we didn't have to walk a mile to enjoy, so we chose a little place that is a block from our hotel that we have been wanting to try.  It is called Fusion Gourmet and Diablo Bar.

This restaurant is really cute.  You walk through a gated wall, and you are inside.  By inside, I mean you are on the walled patio that is the restaurant.  There are about 10 small tables, but no roof.  It is just a courtyard.  The small bar area has a cover, so if it starts to rain (like it does all the time here), you can go to the small covered area.  On the second floor there is also an indoor dining area which we have not seen yet, maybe well have to come back and check that out too.

Fusion Gourmet has a seasonal menu right now and one of the items on it was a shrimp burrito with rice and beans.  That sounded really good so both of us, so we each ordered one.

When our dinners came out we were very pleasantly surprised!  The burrito shell was actually a crepe that had been lightly toasted and the filling was kind of like a shrimp fajita with grilled peppers, onions and tomatoes, but it also had a very nice cream sauce.  It was really good and they didn't scrimp on the shrimp.

There are so many amazing restaurants in Puerto Vallarta.  There is just no end to the options.  We were very happy to have found another new one, and it's nice to find good, close takeout places for when the weather isn't very nice.
