Birthday Celebration (May 20th, 2015)

The weather this year has been anything but typical for Colorado. Our beautiful state is know for having 360 days of sunshine a year, and we certainly aren't going to see that this year.

It’s another cold rainy day today, but it is also our soon-to-be son-in-laws 22nd birthday! We arrived at Coors field (the home stadium of the Colorado Rockies) with our oldest daughter, and the birthday boy, our youngest daughter and her boyfriend at about 5:00 for a 6:40 game. We went up to the rooftop bar, and the four adults each had a beer. We had to get the birthday boy started off right. There was a break in the rain, so our youngest daughter and her boyfriend went outside to enjoy the dry weather.

Cheers to the birthday boy!

Dressed for cold weather....unfortunately!

Outside of the rooftop bar, enjoying a few minutes of sunshine.

As it got to be time for the game, we made our way to our seats, where we were joined by another 14 friends and family members who had come to celebrate with us. Thanks to our future son-in-laws parents for providing the tickets! It misted all night, and from where we were sitting, the Century Link building (sky scrapper in downtown Denver you can see from the stadium) kept coming in and out of the fog all night. It was an eerie sight, but kind of fun!

Unfortunately, the Colorado Rockies lost their game tonight, but it was a lot of fun to celebrate a special birthday here at Coors Field!
