Leaving the Cabin (Sunday August 6th, 2017)

This is our final day at the cabin, which is hard to think about.  It has been such a great time surrounded by family.  But we still have so much to do while we are in Colorado, so it's time to move on.

As we packed up the motorhome, the fog moved in.  It became cool and crisp outside and felt a little like fall.

As we pulled out of Red Feather, the mother bear and her three cubs were crossing the road.  By the time I was able to get my camera, only one cub was still in sight.  Such a treat to see these beautiful bears.

As we reached the main road, the fog was even thicker, making for a difficult but beautiful drive.

When we reached the city, Steve decided that it would a good experience for our daughter to drive the motor home.  So she agreed to drive it through town.  She did a great job, even though she looks a little paranoid; one sleeve up and one sleeve down!

Red Feather is such a special place to our entire family.  It is a place where all of the extended family meets to reconnect, and we all slow down about 10 notches and enjoy our surroundings, and this trip was no exception.  If was a great weekend with the family, and we can't wait to do it again.
