Going to Red Feather (Friday, August 4th, 2017)

This morning we are on our way to the family cabin in Red Feather for some relaxing family time.  So of course, being the planners that we are, we had to look up the temperatures to see what we were in for.  As we were leaving Arvada, it was pretty cool and cloudy.

But it appears that it is going to be even cooler and cloudier when we get to the mountains.  Good thing we have a few pairs of pants along.  We're not used to these cool temps.

As we were heading north on I-25, we were passed by several groups of motorcycles on their way to Sturgis, the big motorcycle rally in South Dakota.  We love seeing people out doing what they love to do!

As we started making our way into the mountains, it was cloudy and slightly foggy, but very green ad beautiful!

When we got to the cabin and started talking about dinner, we realized that we had gotten our communication crossed and no one had brought Friday night dinner, so instead of fretting about it, we decided that it was the perfect night to eat dinner out.

We went to a little restaurant that we like called Basil 181, where we had a great hamburger with onion rings; something we don't eat often, but oh was it good!

It was a great way to start our weekend at the cabin!  We can't wait to see what the rest of the weekend brings!
