Golfing at Highlander, Wenachee, WA (Thursday, August 22, 2019)

We left Coeur d' Alene yesterday, and have moved on to Quincy, WA where we will be visiting our friends Sam and Sharyn for a few days.  We are staying at the Colockum Ridge Golf Club.  They have about a dozen spots, six on the golf course side, and 6 on the road side.  It appears that the golf course side is filled with permanent residents, so we are staying on the road side which is just fine.  We have 50 amp service and water hookups, but no sewer.  They do have a dump, so that is nice if we end up needing it.

Sam and Sharyn picked us up this morning for a game of golf at Highlander, which is near Wenachee, WA.  This course is perched on the top of a hill, overlooking the Columbia River.  At first glance it looks like a pretty difficult course, with lots of tee boxes hitting over the desert landscape gullies.

I can't even wrap my head around what to do with this...

And where there wasn't a desert gully, there was a pond.

As I approached this tee box, I felt like I was going to fall over the cliff just getting there...and then I still had to hit the ball. 😟

I have to say, this is one of the most beautiful courses we have ever played.  We love the challenge and humility that it gives us, and the views go on for miles.

What a great way to start out our time with great friends.  We truly love these two!
