Galway, Ireland (Wednesday, July 24th, 2019)

Some of the sights in the beautiful city of Galway, Ireland.

The Sam Jinks exhibit called "In the Flesh" was in Galway during our visit, so we stopped in to see it.  His life like pieces of human life were truly amazing.

The main shopping and eating district in Galway is only a couple of blocks long, and a single block wide, so it becomes very congested.  Steve's parents did a great job of navigating the crowds!

We stopped at a little Irish pub called Taaffes Bar for a rest and a Guinness.

Steve's parents were starting to get tired from our big day exploring gardens, castles, fjords and towns, so we took them back to the bus which would return them to our hotel for dinner.  The rest of us continued on in town.

We stopped in a quiet alley at a little place called The Slate House for some amazing gin and fennel cream mussels, which we polished off with no problem.

Then we enjoyed some amazing Irish fish and chips before returning to the hotel for the night.

When we arrived in Ireland, Ann Marie, our tour director, told us that it consistently rains twice a week here...Monday through Thursday and Friday through Sunday.  We are now three days into our trip, and we have not had any rain yet.  A few sprinkles on the bus window, but nothing when we have been out and about.
