Daylight Savings (Sunday, November 5th, 2017)

One of the strange things about living in Lake Havasu City is that Arizona is the only state (I think!) that doesn't observe daylight savings time.  In the summer when the rest of the U.S. is on daylight savings time, we are on Pacific Time, and in the winter when all of the other states come off of daylight savings time, we are on Mountain Time.

In the winter, if we happen to pick up a cell tower across the lake, where it is California, our phone shows the wrong time.  And if we are taking a flight out of Las Vegas, we have to really think about what time of year it is or we might show up at the airport an hour off from when we should be there.  Yes, we have done it!

It's really not a big deal, but just one of the strange things about living in Lake Havasu City!
