Our Kids Are In Town (Monday, March 27th, 2017)

We headed to Las Vegas last night to pick up our oldest daughter and son (in-law), who will be visiting us for the next week. We're so excited to have them here!  Although we've had gorgeous weather since we got here, the weather this week isn't supposed to be so great, but we'll do our best to help them relax and rejuvenate anyway.

It's supposed to get pretty windy this afternoon, and the risk of valley fever is high right now, so instead of heading out on the boat, or into the desert, we decided to take the polaris and just head around town.

We went out on the island and rode some hills out there.

The boys did a little exploring.

And our daughter videotaped everything.

But mostly, we helped them relax and just enjoy the day.

After we explored the island, our son (in-law) got his chance to drive the Polaris.

When we got back to the house, we enjoyed some healthy snacks and then a steak dinner with grilled veggies.  Oh my, so good!

We even got a little rain, and a tiny rainbow.  

It looked like we were going to have a great sunset, so we climbed up the hill to watch, but the sunset just fizzled and left us a little empty.

We hope the kids first day of vacation was as much fun for them as it was for us.  We can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings!
