A Tribute to Lickity Split (Saturday, April 21st, 2018)

Lickity Split is a boat that has been around Havasu for couple of years, and is a favorite among the locals and us.  It ran in the poker run yesterday.  In the speed runs this morning, it was clocked at 158 mph.

After the speed runs, they were out on the lake near Contact Point and hit a rogue wave at high speed.  The boat was thrown about 50 feet into the air, with all of it's passengers ejected.  

The driver was killed at the sight, with his friend and wife being taken to the local hospital.  His friend later died, and his wife is in very critical condition at this time.

Our condolences go out to the family and friends of owner's of Lickity Split.  We are so saddened by the tragedy of this weekend.
