Ride to Bouse (Wednesday, January 31st, 2018)

Our second ride of the camp out was a ride to Bouse.  Bouse is a little desert town east of Parker.  There were two blue groups, a green group and a yellow group.  The blue groups went through an area called the Cactus garden.

I thought the cactus garden was really pretty, but I guess a few people in the other blue group got out to walk around, and found out the hard way that jumping cholla really do jump.

Our destination on this ride was the Coachman's Restaurant in the little desert town of Bouse.  We had phoned ahead to let them know that about 50 of us would be coming, so they were ready for us when we got there.

At lunch each day they have three specials to choose from, and that's what they have.  Don't ask for anything else, because they don't have it.

They had a back room set up for us when we got there, and quickly took our orders.  We try to always stagger the groups so that we don't show up at a restaurant all at once.  It makes it a lot quicker and easier for the restaurant and for us.

This little man is really walking now.  It's so fun to watch his first steps.

Then after lunch we headed back to our camp at Shea Road.  Our trip home was really fun, we went through some "roller coaster" areas that were a blast!

When we got back to camp, the sun was just setting over  the mountains.

Tonight we will have another ride, so we will rest up for now.
