Local Avocados (Saturday, July 15th, 2017)

There is a local family farm in Pauma Valley, California that raises avocados and oranges and brings them to the Lake Havasu Swap Meet every Sunday throughout the winter.  Once the swap meet ends in May, they will continue to deliver avocados once or twice a month for most of the summer. We have come to love their avocados and order the throughout the summer.

Even when the swap meet season is over, they continue to come and bring their avocados to the swap meet parking lot.

All they sell is haas avocados, but they sell different varieties of haas depending on what is in season.  This time they brought lamb's haas, and brought us directions for ripening and enjoying this type of avocado.  We love the personal attention they give to each customer.

The avocados cost $1 each and are well worth every penny.  They are cheaper than most of the avocados sold in town, are super tasty, perfect ripeness, and are grown on a family farm.  You just can't beat that.  Once again, we love the small town feel of this place!
