Golf Course Visitor and Changes (Thursday, July 6th, 2016)

There are many things that we love about golfing here in Lake Havasu City, and one of them is the wildlife that visits the courses. Today a blue heron was visiting and enjoying the ponds.

The golf course recently sold, and is now under new, local ownership.  They have been working really hard on the grounds, and making a few changes, so I decided to take a few pictures around the clubhouse today.

They've removed a few trees that were starting to block the lake view from the clubhouse, they've changed out the flags and distance markers on each of the holes, renamed each of the courses (Nassau is now the East Course and Olde London is now the West Course), and on the West Course, they changed the order of play on the holes (Hole 1 is now hole 10, and hole 10 is now hole 1).

There used to be a large pine tree blocking this lake view.  They cut it down yesterday.

The restaurant and pro shop are still original from when the golf course was opened in 1967.

Another view of the restaurant and pro shop

I think we are going to see many changes under the new owners, so I'll keep you posted.  It's always fun to see progress, but we hope we can still afford to golf there when they get done.  We love our little hometown course!
