Tubac, AZ

After leaving San Xavier Mission, we continued down highway 19 to the historic town of Tubac, AZ, established in 1752.  It is a fun little town known for its culture, art and history and now days for its shopping. Our friends Sam and Sharon have told us about it several times, so we were excited to stop and see it.  It is nestled quietly between the Tumacacori and Santa Rita mountain ranges, with the Santa Cruz river running through it.

Yard art is at the top of the list for shopping in this little town.

Does anyone need a dragon?

A fun little restaurant with lots of outdoor seating.

If you leave the touristy part of town, the historic area is very quiet and pretty as well.

Steve and I don’t usually spend a lot of time in little towns, but I do like to get a feel for them as we go through.  This one had a very nice feel to it.  One we wil have to come visit again!
