Steve's Parents Havasu Bucket List (Tuesday, March 6th - Sunday, March 11th, 2018)

Steve's parents made the two day drive from Denver, and we are so glad to have them here!  They used to come to Havasu a lot through the years, but haven't been here for quite awhile, so we are going to try and do all of the things that they have on their bucket list of things they remember from being here before, or new things they want to try.

Enjoying the weather on the back porch is always a biggie, so we started with guacamole and chips.

Then moved on to Taco Tuesday at Ledgendz Bar and Grill (which used to be Mad Dog's).

This was a good start, breaking them in right, back here in Havasu!

On Wednesday, we took them for their first ever RZR ride up to the Bat Cave.

Janet and I were the back seat drivers.

Steve and his dad had the front.

Her picture.

We made it to the Bat Cave! But decided not to make the hike in.  They really enjoyed the views from the RZR.

Next on the list was a city tour, to see things that have changed since they were last here.  This was our stop at Site Six on the island, always a fun place to come.

A beautiful white heron blowing in the wind.

And another heron waiting for some fish.

A walk along the channel on the island side.

And a beer at the Heat bar.

Finally back home for some appetizers on the back porch, once again just enjoying the beautiful weather!

And some crab legs for dinner.

A trip to Havasu is never complete without a trip to the Parker Dam.  We stopped at Schlotzsky's and picked up some sandwiches so we could have a picnic by the lake.

Then we crossed the dam to go visit the "wild" burros.  Oh my gosh they are so cute I just want to take one home.

As we drove by the golf course, we noticed some burros grazing on the fairway.  Most golf courses have to deal with geese, but here it's burros.

Then on to Havasu Springs Resort.

And our last stop on our lake tour was Cattail Cove.  This is always a beautiful and peaceful spot!

Then we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at one of our favorite Havasu restaurants, Angelinas.

We are having so much fun helping Steve's parents with their bucket list.  It is such a treat to have them here!

Today we stopped at the golf course to show them around a bit, and caught a car show on our way home.  There are so many beautiful cars in Havasu.  Today the car show was in the parking lot of our gym.

Late in the week, some of our activities were disrupted by a little bit of rain, so on the morning of Steve's parent's departure, we finished off their Havasu bucket list.  His mom really wanted to walk the channel on the mainland side.  So we did!

We don't see a lot of clouds here in Havasu, so I thought I would get in a few pretty cloud pictures.

Our final excursion for his parents was a trip to the Hualapai Mountain Resort for their brunch buffet.

We are so glad Steve's parents were able to spend some time with us here in Havasu.  They are now on their way home, hopefully rested up and ready to come back and see us soon!
