NASCAR Neon Garage and Truck Races (Friday, March 2nd, 2018)

One of the best parts about watching NASCAR in Las Vegas is the Neon Garage.  From the grandstands, you take the escalator or stairs down, under the track, and then back up to the inside of the track to where the neon garage is.

The neon garage has a big stage with entertainers everywhere.

Oh my gosh, is that Kid Rock?

After I regained my composure, I took my ponytail out, took off my sweatshirt, and had another picture taken.

Once you get past all of the amazing entertainment, you can also look into the garages of all the NASCARs.  It's pretty amazing!  Our favorite, Martin Truex Jr.

Once the cars are out of the garage, they have to head to the inspection stations.

After hanging out in the neon garage for awhile, we decided to head to pit road where we could watch the drivers run test laps.

We could watch the cars coming out of the garages onto the track, and we were close enough to touch them.

Including our favorite...Martin Truex Jr.

This car was sponsored by Colorado State University, so we had to cheer for it too.

Hamlin walked right by us, and acted like he didn't even recognize us.  The nerve!

When we were done in the neon garage, we headed back through the tunnel to the stands.  Cheryl walked the stairs.  We were so proud of her!  One of the event staff cheered her on the whole way!

Then back to the stands to watch the truck races.

Steve and Marty went down to see how fast and loud it felt by the fence.  They weren't disappointed.

The final results of the trucks.

The victory burnout.

Alan's dad passed away at about 3:30 this afternoon, and he would have loved  to have been here, so Steve and I decided to dedicate this race to him.  We will truly miss him!
