Scottsdale Weekend (Sunday, November 3rd, 2019)

Our friends Sam and Sharyn invited us to Scottsdale for a golfing weekend, and of course, we couldn't pass that up.  We all left Havasu this morning at about 9:00 so that we could run some errands along the way, and got into Scottsdale just in time for a beautiful evening in Old Town.

It's all about that bass, about that bass, no treble!

We enjoyed some amazing Thai food at a little restaurant called Malee's.  We all order our spice level at three, and wished we had ordered a two, so now we know for next time, and I'm sure we will be back.  The Panang and Madras curries were outstanding coconut cream curries, and the madras curry was full of seafood.

Sam also really enjoyed his seafood curry, with a spicy red curry sauce.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Old Town Scottsdale.  This was the view from our patio.  We really like it!

Another great restaurant called the Hash Kitchen.  This is their build it yourself bloody Mary bar.

The carnita hash was really good and stuck with us through an entire 18 holes of golf, and then some.

An evening on the patio by the pool at the hotel.

Our final dinner of the weekend was at the Victory Restaurant in Verrado.  They had a great happy hour to go along with the amazing views!

There is a hiking hill right by Victory in Verrado, and as we enjoyed our dinner after sundown, we could still see people with flashlights coming down the mountain.

What a great weekend with good friends!  And now to show you the fun golf we got to play while we were here (see future posts)!
