Jost Van dyke, Tortola (Saturday, March 16th, 2019)
Our journey on the Norweign Dawn is coming to an end, and I think we all agree that it has been a true family adventure! Today the six of us are taking a catamaran ride from the cruise ship port to Jost Van Dyke for our final day of rest and relaxation. We can't wait to see what today has in store for us!
Once again, we had front row seats on a spectacular beach for the day.
Stacey and I enjoyed many walks up and down the beach, just taking in the sights, and of course watching the fish and sea life.
Even though the Caribbean islands have all done a great job of recovering from hurricane Maria, there are still reminders everywhere of the power of Mother Nature.
But non the less, the beauty can't help but shine through.
There are several restaurants and bars on this little beach, and plenty of free chairs and umbrellas to enjoy.
And a trip to the Soggy Dollar in Jost Van Dyke just wouldn't be the same without a Pain Killer or two!
Both of our sweet daughters caught us on the Soggy Dollar webcam and sent us this great picture! Thanks so much girls!!!
But eventually all good things must come to an end, and it was time to load up on our catamaran and enjoy another amazing cruise back to our ship.
And the rum punch certain helped kill the pain of having to leave this beautiful island behind!
We have had an amazing journey on the Norweign Dawn, enjoying our time with family and old friends! Having a chance to reconnect, with no time constraints and no boundaries has been truly amazing! We've gotten to really know our "new" cousin-in-law, and absolutely love him to death! And after nearly two weeks together, we are all still talking, and better than that, I think we all like each other even better than we we started this adventure! At this point, we are all feeling so fortunate, and are not ready to head back to real life.
