Bryce Canyon, Bryce Point to Inspiration Point, UT

When we finished our morning hike, we went back to the Jeep, grabbed our lunch, reloaded our water and caught a shuttle to the visitor’s center.  There, we crossed the street and caught the next shuttle back into the park, which took only a few minutes.  We rode that shuttle to the furthest stop, which is Bryce Point.  We got out there and began our next rim trail walk, which took us from Bryce Point to Inspiration Point.

Bryce point is known for its white alligator formation, which you can see in the middle of this picture.

Once we left the overlook, we made our way to Inspiration Point, along the Rim Trail.

We found an incredible lunch spot, with quite a view!  We were just off the trail, but about five groups of hikers walked right by us without even realizing we were there.  Finally one man noticed us and couldn’t believe the spot we had found.

It was fun to see the trails winding through the bottom of the canyon.

This tree was at Inspiration Point.  It reminded me of how hard life can be, but also how resilient we all are.

Views from Inspiration Point.

This portion of the rim trail was about  a mile and a half, with a few ups and downs, but mostly a flat dirt trail.  From here we took the shuttle back to Sunrise Point to get our Jeep.  The rest of our Bryce Canyon adventure would be from the car.
