Black Cardinals in the Desert

We saw some beautiful red cardinals in the desert today, but couldn’t get any pictures because they were down in the thicket.  But then we looked up, and saw this…we couldn’t figure out what it was, but looked it up when we got home, and it’s a black cardinal. We didn’t even know that was a thing!
