Gutters and Drains

How we spent our winter, Part 2.

In Arizona, there is no need for gutters on most parts of your house, but around patios and courtyards, they are very nice to have to keep the water moving away from the house, especially during the monsoons.  So before the landscaping got too far in process, we had some gutters installed.

We wanted our gutters to "vent" underground, so we ran perforated PVC away from the house, with daylight "vents" into the yard, and of course that required a jackhammer and a shovel.

We dug four drains in all, two in the front and two in the back.
