A Simple Pool

How we spent our winter, Part 1.

The first thing we did when we got back from our summer in Washington, was to get started on a simple pool.  We had talked to the pool company shortly after moving in last May, and had finalized our pool design while we were gone over the summer.  So in October, we got back in touch with the pool company and told them we were ready to get started.

Shotcrete

Even for our tiny pool, it took two truck loads of shotcrete.

Once the shotcrete is complete, it needs to be sprayed with water three times a day for a week.

Adding Water February 23rd

By February 23rd, the pool was complete, and we started filling.  I guess the biggest thing we learned from this project was that there are simple pool designs, but there are no simple pools.  It takes a lot to build a pool, no matter how simple you think you are keeping it.
