Our Kid's House Update (Saturday, April 9th, 2016)

Now that we are back in Colorado, we decided to take a drive with our oldest daughter to check on the progress of their new house. They have made a lot of changes in the last two weeks, so it was really fun to see.  This is the part of the building process that goes so quickly and makes such a difference.  They now have windows, siding and inside framing.  And it was the perfect chance for our daughter to make sure that everything was being done according to plan.

We checked out the garage first, everything looks great.  12" centers on the framing.  Very nice!
Then we headed to the basement to see the progress there.

There should be a fireplace in this room that isn't here yet.

Closet at the bottom of the stairs
Then to the main floor of the house

Uh oh, they put the fireplace on the main level instead of in the basement, but that's easy to fix.
And finally upstairs to see how the views look.

Well, the view is gorgeous, but there is a problem with the master bath.  The builder representative came over to take a look, so they'll have to figure that out.

As Steve and I pulled away, our daughter was sitting on her new front porch, talking to her husband about our adventure of the day.

That was a very fun little trip in our new lives that we call retirement.
