The Gym, The Beach and Some Octane (Thursday, September 17th, 2015)

We headed back to the gym this morning for a cycling class. Steve loves cycling, and I really don’t, so it was interesting! I made it through class, and never crashed once so that’s saying something, even though it was just a stationary bike! I can’t say that I enjoyed it, but I did get a good workout, which I guess is why we go in the first place. Steve was a powerhouse and was totally in his element.

After class we decided to head back to the beach where we spent the day yesterday. We made some turkey rollups for lunch, loaded up the paddle boards (Thanks to Steve's bother and sister-in-law for the loan) and headed for our little beach. We spent the entire afternoon on our little beach, just relaxing, paddle boarding and enjoying retirement.

We're trying out paddle boarding.  Steve mastered it pretty quickly

Trying a little paddle board yoga.  Boy did I have a big crash!  But we don't have to show everything!

We really enjoyed the paddle boarding.  I can definitely see us doing this again!

At about 5:00 we packed up and headed home for showers so that we could make it to our friends one-year anniversary for her restaurant, and a tasting party for their private label wine “Octane”.
The Octane Wine Garage opened last September when we were here in Havasu so we had fun getting to know the owner and some of the staff.  This was our first chance to visit it this year, so the event was really fun.

The Octane Wine Garage has a beautiful outdoor patio and brought in a great band for the event.
