It's Fall...Even in Paradise (Thursday, November 16th, 2017)

The days have been perfect for the last month and a half, with cool mornings and warm "shorts and flip flop" days.  But today, we noticed a difference.

When we woke up this morning, it was only 57 degrees out, so I put on jeans and a light sweater for the first time this fall.  I'm still wearing flip flops though.  And as we headed out to run errands, Steve turned on the heat in the car, for the first time this fall, to take the chill off.  I know, you're probably thinking...they don't know what a chill is, and you are right, we are so spoiled!  But we are starting to feel fall in the air, and I might even have to pull out my cute winter boots at some point.

But for now, we open the windows all day, and close them up a little at night.  We haven't even come close to having to turn on heat in the house.  At this point it's hard to believe that we'll even have to.

Fall on Wolf Creek Pass (Wednesday, September 21st, 2016)

Fall is in the air in Colorado, so we took a drive to Wolf Creek Pass to see the changing of the aspens.

Colorado is famous for it's fall aspen trees with their bright gold leaves, but I also enjoy the fall colors of the scrub oak and sumac which add the red tones.  This year, we also have tropical storm Paine, which is bringing in the clouds and rain, all the way from Baja California.

I wanted to share some pictures from our adventure with you.  The pictures just keep getting better as we go, so enjoy the journey!

We hope you enjoyed our fall adventure as much as we did!  Stay tuned for whatever comes next!

Fall is in the Air (Tuesday, October 6th, 2015)

As we left Colorado once again, fall was definitely in the air. Our garden was full of beautiful vegetables that had come on in the last few weeks, and we couldn't bear to leave them all behind, so we packed our selves a little care package.  We really weren't quite sure how to get the package
through airport security, so we decided a checked bag would be our safest bet.

We had a great flight from Colorado to Las Vegas, but the best part was seeing the progression of fall through the Colorado Rockies, and out into the desert.

The foothills of the Colorado Rockies, with their beautiful golden aspen trees

The snow capped mountains as we got further west

And Lake Meade as we approach Las Vegas
And when we finally made it to Arizona and unpacked our bag, we had this waiting for us after a 1,000 mile flight, not bad!

We are looking forward to enjoying these delicious little treats during our desert stay!  It feels good to be back in Lake Havasu City!
