Laughlin Ranch Golf Course (Saturday, May 11th, 2019)

Today we played a new course in Bull Head City, AZ called Laughlin Ranch with our friends Sam and Sharyn.  It is just across the river from Laughlin, NV.

It is a difficult, and yet forgiving course, all at once, and is probably our new favorite courses in this area.  It is a true desert course with great fairways and greens, and beautiful views from every hole.

It seemed like at every T box we had to really analyze the situation before we could even hit.

The clouds built throughout the afternoon, and by the time we hit the back nine, it was starting to get a bit stormy looking.  But there was nothing threatening, so we kept playing.

Just as we were teeing off on the 16th hole, we got a warning on our cart that lightning had been sighted in the area, and they asked us to return to the pro shop.  So we returned to the pro shop and waited out the storm while we enjoyed a beer in the restaurant.

When we got to the pro shop, we were loving this course so much that we decided we wanted to play again, so we went in and made another tee time for tomorrow.  They also had an advertisement for a Mother's Day brunch that they would be holding tomorrow, so we tried to get reservations for that as well, but they said that they were already full.

We told him that we would like to have a beer while we waited for the weather to clear so he told us to park in the tunnel (to protect our clubs) and head on up to the restaurant.  So into the tunnel we went.

At the restaurant, we ordered our beers and sat back to relax for a few minutes.  Our bartender Brittney asked us if we were coming to the Mother's Day Brunch tomorrow, and we said that we would like to, but that there were no reservations left.  She said that she would be able to take us at the bar, or out on the patio if we wanted, so we graciously accepted her offer and asked her to hold us a table for 2:00 on the patio.  This bad weather actually brought us great luck!  We're so excited for tomorrow.

Once the weather cleared, we headed back out to play the last three holes.

As we continued playing, the sun even came out on the hills that had been so dark before.  It was beautiful!

We had a great day of golfing and are so excited to hit the course again tomorrow!
